Our exciting award!!
We entered the Communication Trust/Pearson Shine a Light Awards which recognises settings for their outstanding contribution to communication and language practice.
We completed a short essay type entry which was then entered into the awards and we were invited to London.
On the day we found out that we were one of two early years settings in the whole awards, the only setting from the Midlands there and we were selected from hundreds of settings which had entered!
We were highly commended for our contributions to communication practice and our on-going support to parents from when their child starts to their transition to school was noticed. We received commendation also for our on-going language enrichment groups and the additional support we give to families and how we liaise with external agencies.
We were so happy with our award and Flynn also enjoyed our journey to London! We kept all parents and staff updated through our Bambini Facebook page which we updated throughout the day until we were presented with our award.
